What is Fertilizer? Robert Pavlis on Nutrients in the Garden

I always have time to learn from the very knowledgeable Robert Pavlis... he spoke on Flora and Fauna, a podcast by Canada's Local Gardener. I've come to realize that most people have no idea what fertilizer actually is - when and why it may be necessary to add to soil, and more importantly, when and why it may NOT be necessary.

For context - I have never used commercial fertilizer because it's not about adding this or that to the soil so we can 'feed the plants'. It's about creating a healthy, LIVING soil. I was so glad to listen to this episode because it explains the truth about soil nutrients and fertilizers.
